MEET EMMA MORK
Emma Mork is a registered clinical counsellor with 3 years of experience in the field of psychology. She proposes an integrative approach because there is not one, but several ways to feel better. During her career, she has focused more particularly on trauma recovery and developmental psychology.
Emma holds a bachelor’s degree from Vancouver Island University, a masters degree from Université Côte d'Azur, and EMDR certification from the Centre de Psychothérapie EMDR Azuréen. Emma’s master’s program emphasized aging and the use of evidence-based counselling methods such as the Person-Centred Approach, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Systemic Therapy, Positive Psychology, Mindfulness, and Hypnosis.
Born and raised on Vancouver Island, Emma is a self-professed emotional cheerleader, bringing optimism, authenticity, and empathy to her sessions. She believes that the human organism naturally moves towards healing, that all people can foster resilience, and that everyone is deserving of mercy, dignity, and respect. She provides counselling for youth, adults, and couples in both English and French.
